- Wednesday: 2 clinical sessions

About usSouthgate Surgery is a friendly, supportive, and well-established GP Practice looking after approx 9,000 patients. We have a team of supportive clinicians comprising 4 GP Partners, 1 GP Registrar, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 Clinical Pharmacists, 1 Paramedic, 1 Healthcare Assistant and 1 Phlebotomist. They are supported by an efficient administration team including Practice Manager and Secretary.
Job responsibilities- Provide high-quality clinical care to patients across all ages and clinical needs
- Conduct consultations (face-to-face, telephone and, where agreed, video or online)
- Manage acute and chronic conditions, including long-term condition reviews and preventive care
- Offer management of common presentations, womens health, childrens health, vaccinations, and clinical procedures as appropriate
- Contribute to Practice QOF performance, clinical audits, clinical governance and quality improvement activities
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team (nurses, healthcare assistants, pharmacists, PCN colleagues) and engage with enhanced access services
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with practice policies

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Essential Qualifications
- GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
- Qualified General Practitioner
- MRCGP
- Full GMC registration with licence to practice
- Inclusion on the NHS Performers List
- DBS clearance
ExperienceEssential- Experience working in UK Primary Care
- Experience in QOF and clinical audit
- Commitment to CPD
Essential Skills- Excellent clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Effective time management
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong IT competence EMIS desirable
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
