Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Consultant post in our NuclearMedicine department. This is a 12 month fixed term post, for 40 hours per week,and will require on-site presence. You will be a qualified Nuclear Medicine Physicianor Radionuclide Radiologist, with experience in reporting a range of NuclearMedicine procedures.
This is a consultant post to support and develop radionuclide and PET imagingand capacity.
We are one of the biggest Nuclear Medicine departments in UK and Europe,
providing a range of specialist procedures in PET, radionuclide therapy and generalnuclear medicine. Our service is rapidly expanding and we are looking for amotivated individual who can work flexibly and provide leadership and specialistexpertise to drive quality improvements, sustainability and innovation.
Main duties of the job- To work closely with the senior professional workforce, radiographerand technologist colleagues, medical, physicist and nursing staff toensure provision of an efficient and responsive Nuclear Medicineservice including providing consultant supervision for diagnosticradionuclide imaging in all service areas.
- Report general nuclear medicine, bone densitometry and PET/CT,PET/MRI studies
- Attend multidisciplinary oncological and non-oncologicalmultidisciplinary meetings
- Contribute to the audit and quality improvement projects in thedepartment
