Job summaryClinical Lead in Emergency MedicineWe are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic individual to join our team. Working with the Clinical Director and other members of the Directorate Management Team, you will provide expert advise and opinion and take responsibility for performance management, efficient deployment of resources, in addition to influencing the strategic agenda for Emergency Medicine.
The duration of the appointment will be a further 6 months and remunerated at 4 PAs / week.
Main duties of the job- Provide clinical management leadership and set strategic direction within the Specialty
- Ensure that high quality and timely care of patients remains the highest priority
- Undertake appraisal of consultant colleagues, as requested by the Clinical Director, and supervise the appraisal process of other doctors within the Specialty.
- Deliver team-based and individual job planning annually, in line with the Trust's Job Planning Policy.
- Share responsibility for the Specialty budget and for the efficient deployment of the Specialty's resources
- Contribute strategically as a senior member of the Directorate management team, including deputising for the Clinical Director as required.
- Lead Clinical Governance within the Specialty.
