Join the friendly team at Borsdane Avenue Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Assistant, where you'll play a key part in delivering excellent care and service to our local community. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in making a real difference to patients' everyday health.You'll support the pharmacy team with the smooth running of the dispensary and front-of-shop, ensuring every customer receives a warm welcome and reliable service.
Key responsibilities:- Assist the pharmacist and dispensing team with the safe and accurate preparation of prescriptions
- Serve customers at the counter, offering friendly advice and signposting where appropriate
- Handle over-the-counter sales and process transactions accurately
- Receive, check and organise stock, ensuring shelves are well-presented and in date
- Maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming pharmacy environment
- Follow all standard operating procedures and confidentiality requirements
What we're looking for:- A warm, approachable manner with excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- A willingness to learn and complete relevant training, such as the Medicines Counter Assistant course
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail environment is welcome but not essential
- Reliability, discretion and a genuine interest in supporting community healthcare
Please note - this is a full time role (40 hours a week) Monday - Saturday
