Job summaryWe are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team as a band 6 sister.
The post is in our plastic surgery unit and out patient clinic 7.
The sister post would provide cover for a wide variety of areas, namely taking charge and leading a well established team. Caring for plastic surgery day case surgery patients, dressing clinics, minor theatre and consultant clinics.
You would be working alongside an already well established team, and perceive this role would add additional value and support.
The candidate must demonstrate delivery of high standards of care and leadership. Surgery, ideally plastic surgery experience and wound care essential.
We are looking for a self motivated individual, who has an understanding of out- patients or willingness to learn. In return we can offer an opportunity to learn and develop skills within a varied and exciting speciality.
Main duties of the job- To provide nursing leadership and clinical expertise
- Act as a role model and promote effective team work across the service to meet the needs of the patients
- To practice as a professional nurse, acting as a role model for nursing staff in the pursuit of clinical excellence
- Develop skills and knowledge required in order to undertake an active role in all clinical areas.
