Job summary
Ward 3 is a 14 bedded medical ward. We are looking for a Clinical Sister to work alongside the manager and deputy to ensure high standards of patient care.

You will collaborate with the management team to identify and address the training needs of all staff members. Your role will involve arranging training across various areas to ensure that the ward delivers high-quality, patient-centred care. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve these goals.

Main duties of the job
We are seeking a Clinical Sister to enhance support for the ward and the Deputy Ward Manager. This role involves contributing to the development of the nursing team by demonstrating exemplary standards and delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. The Clinical Sister should be capable of applying a variety of skills to assist the nursing team in identifying and addressing areas for training and development within the ward.

You must demonstrate excellent standards, support all areas of the unit, and possess the leadership skills to assist the Ward and Deputy Ward Manager.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
Essential
  • Level 1 Registered Nurse
  • Diploma in Nursing or evidence of recent relevant CPD at diploma level
  • Qualified mentor (ENB 998 or mentorship award or equivalent) or working towards
  • Evidence of Post Registration development in the relevant specialty
  • Qualified NVQ Assessor (A1 or equivalent) or working towards

Desirable
  • Degree in Nursing or working towards
  • Leadership Qualification

Occupational Experience
Essential
  • Minimum 18 Months experience

Desirable
  • Experience of managing a team or area within a ward area
