Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Palliative Care Centre as a Sister/Charge Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, delivering personalised, dignified, and holistic care to patients with complex palliative and end-of-life needs.If you are passionate about palliative care, committed to excellent patient experience, and ready to take the next step in your leadership journey, we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job
In this role, you will provide visible clinical leadership, support safe and effective day-to-day ward management, and act as a role model for high-quality nursing practice. You will work closely with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure care is delivered with kindness, professionalism, and respect.

Qualifications
Essential
  • Registered Nurse (valid with NMC)
  • To have completed the national practice assessor training or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification for those with ENB998.
  • Evidence of academic achievement or working towards Degree level of study.
  • Evidence of postgraduate study relevant to role or must be willing to work towards

Desirable
  • Evidence of academic achievement or working towards MSC level of study.

Experience
Essential
  • Relevant post registration experience (e.g. Palliative Care)
  • Evidence of management experience
  • Evidence of personal and professional development
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • An understanding of patient flow in a busy acute area

Desirable
  • Leadership Qualification
  • Audit / Research

Further Training
Essential
  • Core, Relevant Specialist and Management Competencies appropriate to the role
  • Commitment to continuous personal development.
