As a Sister/Charge Nurse, you will lead by example, working in accordance with the
NMC Code of Professional Conduct and professional standards to provide exceptional patient-centred care. You will act as a named nurse for a defined group of patients, coordinating and overseeing their care journey while serving as a visible role model for colleagues, patients and visitors. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the unit, taking charge of the ward and supporting the overall leadership of the service. Working closely with the Ward Manager, you will help ensure the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality care while maintaining a proactive approach to achieving Trust objectives and local performance targets.

Immediate Life Support Demonstrates evidence of ongoing continuous professional development
- Demonstrate evidence of effective consolidation of knowledge and professional practice. Thorough and up to date knowledge of nursing theory and best practice within acute medicine. Understanding of equality & Diversity and how to apply it to self and managed staff. Understanding of NMC Code of Practice and requirements of it for the practice and behaviour of self and managed staff.
- Understanding of the basic principles of budgetary management. Understanding of the basic principles of effective staff management. Nursing experience Minimum of 2 years relevant experience at senior band 5 or above and have already undertaken development B6 role on MAU
Desirable- Advanced Life Support. Diploma/degree in relevant area NVQ Trainer
- Evidence of ability to facilitate and influence other groups of staff. Ability to use Word, Excel and Outlook. European Driving Licence
