Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Specialist Dietitian (1.0 WTE) to join our role within both inpatient Paediatric patients and the Paediatric Children's Home Enteral Feeding (HEF) Service in Nottinghamshire. This is an exciting chance to play a key role in providing high-quality dietetic care to children aged 0-19 years across diverse inpatient and community settings.
You will join our vibrant Community Outreach Team, comprising around 24 staff who support more than 700 patients across the county. After completing your induction and training, you will have opportunities for blended working, including home-based working.
You will also be joining the inpatient paediatric dietitian team, based at QMC. You will become an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, delivering high quality patient centred care.

Main duties of the jobAs a key member of both the Children's HEF Service and Paediatric teams, you will:
Clinical Responsibilities- See patients as an inpatient for nutrition support and allergies.
- Manage a varied paediatric both within general inpatients and the HEF caseload (0-19 years), including children with complex needs, faltering growth, ARFID, and those requiring nutritional optimisation ahead of surgery.
- Conduct reviews in patients' homes, schools, nurseries, respite centres, and other community settings.
- Work closely with Children's Community Nursing Teams, specialist children's nurses, and other partners to deliver joined-up care.
- Provide expertise in both nutritional management and practical aspects of feeding tubes and enteral feeding equipment.
Professional Responsibilities- Prioritise and manage your own caseload and contribute to supporting junior staff within the team.
- Deliver training and support to families, carers, and professionals across community settings.
- Build strong working relationships with multidisciplinary colleagues and external partners to ensure safe, high-quality care.
- Support service evaluation, audit and research projects.
- A car and full UK driving licence are essential to meet the requirements of community visits.
