As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will:
- Lead specialist nursing care for patients with Interstitial lung disease which may cross over with other respiratory conditions, ensuring expert clinical management and continuity of care.
- Provide holistic support to patients and their carers, offering clear information, guidance, and reassurance throughout their treatment journey.
- Champion patient-focused care by creating an environment that nurtures both patient wellbeing and the professional growth of nursing staff.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to design, implement, and evaluate care pathways, protocols, and policies that reflect best practice.
- Drive innovation by supporting new initiatives and procedures within respiratory nursing, helping shape the future of specialist care.

QualificationsEssential- NMC Level One Registered Nurse
- BSc in Nursing
- ENB 998 or equivalent teaching course.
- Evidence of post-basic specialist education.
- Educated to Masters level (or working towards) or equivalent demonstrable experience and learning within a specialist area
- Non-medical prescribing (or willingness to undertake)
Further TrainingDesirable- Motivational interviewing / counselling course / training
ExperienceEssential- Significant experience post registration at band 6 with experience in working with patients in specialist area
- Membership of special interest and professional group
- Working within a leadership role
Desirable- Multidisciplinary team working
