An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Phlebotomist.

The University Hospital of North Midlands, Mid Cheshire and East Cheshire NHS Trusts work in partnership as North Midlands and Cheshire Pathology Service.

We are looking for a confident, reliable and well presented individual to join our Phlebotomy team.

We offer a Phlebotomy service in a range of locations across Staffordshire and Cheshire including hospital and community bookable clinics.

Based at Royal Stoke, the successful applicant will be an integral part of the phlebotomy rota and will provide a high-quality patient-facing phlebotomy service across Royal Stoke and other Trust locations as required, ensuring safe and efficient blood sample collection to support patient care and diagnostic services.

Main duties of the job
We offer a phlebotomy service in a range of locations across North Midlands including Royal Stoke and County Hospitals, ward based, community walk-in centres and community appointment based clinics.

The Trust has around 1,450 in patient beds across 2 sites Our 11,00 strong workforce provide emergency treatment, planned operations and medical care from Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital in County.

It is a requirement of your role you have access to a car for work purposes which must be suitable for travelling to community phlebotomy clinics and transporting samples back to the hospital It is your responsibility to ensure the vehicle is insured for class 1 business use and the transportation of pathology samples Expense will be paid in accordance with Trust Policy when you use your vehicle for work purposed.

• GCSE English and maths at C grade or above or equivalent.

• NVQ/QFC level2/apprenticeship in related subject.
