As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will be a key point of contact for our patients and customers, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the pharmacy. Working alongside pharmacists and colleagues, you will play an important role in making sure people receive their medication safely and feel genuinely cared for when they visit us.
Key responsibilities- Greet customers warmly and provide a helpful, professional service at the counter
- Assist with the accurate dispensing and labelling of prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist
- Handle prescription queries and signpost customers to the pharmacist when appropriate
- Manage stock, including ordering, receiving deliveries and checking expiry dates
- Maintain a clean, tidy and well-organised pharmacy environment
- Support the wider team with general administrative and retail tasks
What we're looking for- A friendly, approachable manner with strong customer service skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- A reliable, organised approach with attention to detail
- The ability to work well as part of a close-knit team
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail setting is desirable but not essential
- A willingness to complete any required training for the role
