As a Salaried GP, you will provide high-quality clinical care through face-to-face, telephone and online consultations, supported by our experienced clinical and administrative teams. You will use EMIS Web to manage patient care, review investigations, undertake home visits where appropriate and contribute to the ongoing development of the practice. Main duties of the job- Provide high-quality, patient-centred care through face-to-face, telephone and online consultations.
- Assess, diagnose and manage acute and long-term medical conditions.
- Prescribe safely in accordance with local and national guidance.
- Review pathology and diagnostic results and action appropriately.
- Undertake home visits where clinically required.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records using EMIS Web.
- Complete referrals, medical reports and other clinical correspondence.
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated patient care.
- Participate in clinical meetings, audit, quality improvement and significant event reviews.
- Support safeguarding, clinical governance and infection prevention requirements.
- Contribute to QOF, Enhanced Services and wider practice development.
- Participate in the practice's duty doctor and on-call arrangements where applicable.

Job responsibilitiesTo work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the contract. Furthermore, the post holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
Person SpecificationQualifications - Essential- Qualified General Practitioner (MBBS/MBChB or equivalent medical qualification)
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Included on the NHS England GP Performers List (or eligible for inclusion)
- MRCGP qualification
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), Certificate of Prescribed Experience (CPE), or equivalent JCPTGP-recognised qualification
- Right to work in the UK
- Commitment to continuing professional development (CPD) and annual appraisal
- Understanding of NHS primary care and General Medical Services (GMS)
- Ability to provide safe, effective and patient-centred clinical care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Competent in using clinical IT systems (e.g. EMIS Web, SystmOne or equivalent)
- Knowledge of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
- Understanding of confidentiality, information governance and GDPR
Qualifications - Desirable- Previous experience of working independently in UK General Practice

- Diploma in Child Health (DCH)

- Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG)
- GP Trainer or GP Registrar Supervisor qualification
- Experience in teaching, mentoring or supervising GP Registrars or other healthcare professionals
- Experience of clinical audit, quality improvement and clinical governance
- Experience of delivering QOF and Enhanced Services
- Minor surgery skills or qualification
- Joint injection skills or qualification
- Family planning and contraceptive services qualification (LoC IUT/LoC SDI or equivalent)
- Women's health experience
- Special clinical interest (e.g. diabetes, dermatology, frailty, palliative care or mental health)
